Strengthening Community Bonds: DC Pulwama convenes Block Diwas at Inderwali Panchayat, Achgoze

PULWAMA : In a significant community-driven event, Block Diwas was today conducted at Inderwali in Block Achgoze of Pulwama, showcasing a commitment to effective governance and public welfare.

The event, presided over by Deputy Commissioner (DC) Pulwama, Dr.Basharat Qayoom emphasized the redressal of grievances, awareness about CSSs, self-employment initiatives, and the enrollment of beneficiaries under various schemes.

The core objective of Block Diwas is reaching out to people and ensuring that the benefits reach every eligible individual under different schemes of Government.

The DC actively reviewed previous grievances and demands, fostering an open dialogue with attendees, including citizens and PRI members.

Residents of the area including PRI members put forward their demands and the community expressed gratitude to DC for fulfilling various earlier demands, notably addressing the crucial need for water supply and playground facilities.

On-the-spot grievance redressal took place, with District officers addressing concerns within a defined timeline. Officers from R&B, RDD, PDD and Education departments engaged with attendees, responding promptly to their grievances.

The DC directed District Officers to expedite ongoing projects and adhere to established timelines, reinforcing the Government’s commitment to efficient and timely service delivery.

The event also saw the distribution of Forest Right Claims and appointment certificates for AAYA in the Education Department, further underscoring the administration’s dedication to inclusivity and equitable resource distribution.

In his address, the DC highlighted initiatives such as the Viksit Sankalp Bharat programme, calling for public participation to ensure its success. He also shed light on various Centrally Sponsored Schemes , emphasizing the goal of saturating eligible beneficiaries.

He also pledged to address pending grievances within stipulated timelines, emphasizing the importance of saturating beneficiary-oriented schemes.
