Ek Ped Shaheedo Ke Naam: DC Bandipora Leads Plantation Drive at Mini Secretariat Bandipora

BANDIPORA : In a significant initiative under the Swachhata Pakhwada 2024, the Department of Social Forestry Bandipora, in collaboration with the District Administration Bandipora, on Friday organized a plantation drive on the theme “Ek Ped Shaheedo Ke Naam” at the Mini Secretariat Bandipora.
The event aimed to honor the sacrifices of martyrs of the Nation by contributing to environmental sustainability through tree plantation.
The Deputy Commissioner Bandipora, Shakeel ul Rehman, led the drive by planting a tree and emphasized the importance of collective efforts in preserving the environment. His participation highlighted the drive’s commitment to not only beautifying the area but also fostering a culture of environmental responsibility.
The plantation drive also witnessed the participation of Assistant Commissioner Development (ACD) Irfan Bahadur, Chief Planning Officer (CPO) Mohammad Maqbool, District Information Officer (DIO) Aadil Manzoor Wani, Range Officer Social Forestry, Range Bandipora Ajaz Ahmad, Block Forest Officer Block Ajas Ab Rashid, Block Forest Officer Block Khuihama Gh. Mustafa, and other officials of District Administration and Social Forestry Range Bandipora.
The plantation drive underscored the collaborative effort of the district administration in promoting green initiatives.
All the participants planted trees in the lush lawns of the Mini Secretariat, contributing significantly to the greenery and serving as a living tribute to the nation’s martyrs.
The Deputy Commissioner, on the occasion, emphasized the importance of environmental conservation and the impact of tree planting on ecological balance.
Besides, participants were encouraged to continue their efforts towards maintaining cleanliness and contributing to environmental preservation in their daily lives.
