Handwara : Additional Deputy Commissioner, (ADC), Handwara, Javed Naseem Masoodi, today personally visited Government Medical College (GMC) Handwara and adjoining areas to assess the snowfall situation and closely monitor ground conditions.
During the visit, the ADC was accompanied by the Executive Engineer, R&B Division Handwara Farooq Ahmad , SHO Handwara Sofi Vilayat, and General Secretary of Traders Federation Handwara, Abdul Rashid Malik.
The ADC supervised snow clearance operations across the sub-division. Under his direct supervision, all major roads in Handwara sub-division have been cleared, ensuring smooth vehicular movement and public safety.
Speaking to the media, ADC Handwara said that nearly 80 percent of roads in Sub-Division Handwara have been cleared so far. He added that snow clearance work on inner roads of all villages has been initiated, while the Power Development Department (PDD) is actively working to restore electricity supply in affected areas.
Meanwhile, General Secretary of Traders Federation Handwara expressed gratitude to the Sub-District Administration Handwara, particularly ADC Handwara and SSP Handwara, for their timely response and effective management during the snowfall.
