The programme witnessed a large turnout of locals, reflecting growing interest among people to understand government-backed financial assistance programmes aimed at promoting self-reliance and employment generation.

Deputy General Manager (Kashmir) Mehmood-ul-Haq Gundroo, while addressing the gathering, gave a detailed overview of the Corporation’s loan schemes, with special focus on programmes meant exclusively for Backward Classes. He urged eligible persons to come forward and benefit from these schemes, highlighting that loans are being provided at comparatively low interest rates to encourage small business ventures and self-employment.

Shabir Ahmed Bhat, District Manager Budgam, elaborated on various income-generating units that can be established under the Corporation’s support and provided guidance on the application process. He also highlighted the education loan schemes, saying that financial assistance is available for students seeking higher education.

General Secretary of Cultural Education & Environment Organisation, India, Altaf Hussain Sheikh, who also attended the camp, appreciated the Corporation for its grassroots outreach and stressed the need for organising more such camps to spread awareness in rural areas.

Several beneficiaries also shared their success stories with the audience, highlighting how financial assistance from the Corporation helped them become self-reliant.

At the end of the programme, Babar Bashir Wani, AOO of the Corporation, presented a vote of thanks, appreciating the cooperation of participants and officials. Information brochures and handbills related to the schemes were also distributed among the public on the spot.
