KULGAM : Under the ambitious weekly Block Diwas programme, the Deputy Commissioner (DC) Kulgam, Athar Aamir Khan today presided over his maiden public grievances redressal camp at Kulgam, and listened to the issues of people for early redressal.
The programme witnessed overwhelming public response, and public delegations from Pahloo, Daderkoot, Qaimoo, Modergam, Nandimarg, KB.Pora and other areas apprised the chair about their demands including construction of building for PHC at Pahloo, repairs of Nandimarg-Damhal road, removal of encroachment at Akipora Nunmai canal, segregation of Kilam power feeder, construction of playfield at KB pora besides other demands of public welfare.
DC after giving patient hearing to the public addressed some of the immediate nature of grievances on the spot and assured that the rest of the genuine issues and grievances will be addressed in a time bound manner.
Addressing the occasion, DC said that resolution of public grievances is the top priority of Administration and directed officers to ensure early redressal of all the issues flagged to them.
He added that his administration is committed to work for the welfare and inclusive development of the district.
He assured people that no one will go unheard and all the genuine issues will be redressed in a time-bound manner.
ADC, Viqar Ahmad Giri; JDP, Zahid Sajjad; ACR, Mir Imtiyaz Ul Aziz; ACD, Mohammad Imran; ACP, Sharjeel Ali and other officers were present during the camp.
Grievances redressal camps were also held at D.H.Pora and Devsar where officers remained available to listen to the issues of people.
