Kupwara : In continuation to the cause of serving mankind in full,a health mela with the aim of deliverance of healthcare on ground level was organised on Tuesday at diver lolab in medical block Sogam under the Mentorship of Block Medical Officer Sogam.
The event was attended by Vice Chairman DDC kupwara Haji Farooq Mir, Member,DDC Sogam Nasir Nazir Lone, SDM Lolab Aijaz Ahmad Bhat,CMO,Dy.CMO Kupwara,SDPO Sogam alongside with SHO’s (Sogam and Lalpora) and other block level officers.
In an inaugural speech,BMO Sogam Dr Fareed Shaheen welcomed all the dignitaries,participants and other delegations for attending the health Mela.
The stalls Viz,G.Medicine,Gyne,Mental Health,RBSK screening,Covid Vaccination,Ayush,Yoga,Health awareness,AB-PMJAY registration,Child specialist etc were installed to ease people.Various medicinal and herbal plants were kept on display and interactive sessions were held where uses of commonly available plants and herbs were discussed.
On the occasion,more than a thousand patients got consultation and treatment.
Later,VC,DDC Kupwara along with other dignitaries had a round of various stalls set up on the occasion and inspected services being offered there.
On the occasion,awareness was raised among the masses regarding the importance of adopting a healthy lifestyle.Also,the general public was trained by skilled YOGA professionals under the Ayush banner.
The aim was full filled with the best satisfaction and indeed all the dignitaries presented a positive feedback and public demanded organising more programs of this kind in future.
