DC B’pora convenes meeting of representatives of political parties, candidates of DDC constituency Hajin A

BANDIPORA November 17: The Deputy Commissioner (DC) Bandipora, Dr. Owais Ahmed who is also District Panchayat Election Officer (DPEO) on Thursday chaired a meeting with representatives of various political parties and candidates of DDC constituency Hajin A for which Re-poll has been notified by State Election Commission.

The meeting was attended by Joint Commissioner Srinagar Municipal Corporation, Riyaz Ahmad Shah- deployed as General Observer for re-poll of DDC Constituency Hajin-A, DPO Bandipora Mohd Ashraf Hakak, DyDEO Bandipora, DTO Bandipora Rafiq Ahmad Shah- deployed as expenditure observer for DDC constituency Hajin-A, Nodal Officers, representatives of political parties and concerned candidates for DDC constituency Hajin A.

The meeting discussed in detail the measures taken for the smooth conduct of re-poll in vacant DDC seat for which the election was cancelled.

It was informed that for re-poll of Hajin-A 12 polling locations have been designated with 57 polling stations.

DC asserted minimum basic facilities like availability of drinking water, electricity; washrooms and other services must be available at every polling booth.

Pertinent to mention that Election Commission has notified 05 December 2022 as date for re-poll of vacant DDC seats.

Dr Owais said all the preparations shall be made well in advance for the convenience of the general public.
