The event saw enthusiastic participation from over 50 students and progressive fish farmers across the district. Dr. Salman Rauoof Chalkoo, Assistant Director Fisheries, delivered an insightful technical session on Biofloc technology and its potential in boosting fish productivity and self-employment.

A key highlight was the launch of Dr. Chalkoo’s book “Agri Economy,” aimed at supporting rural development and agri-entrepreneurship.

Participants also visited operational Biofloc units in Kupwara for hands-on learning. The event concluded with a commitment to strengthening the fisheries sector through innovation, education, and government schemes like PMMSY and HADP.
