Director RDD visits Kupwara, inspects PMAY (G) registration camps

KUPWARA :  Director, Rural Development Department (RDD) Kashmir, Shabir Hussain Bhat on Saturday paid a daylong visit to Kupwara district, inspected PMAY (G) verification camps and other works, besides held an interaction with PRIs.

Director RDD on reaching Handwara visited Langate and inspected the PMAY (G) camp being conducted at Langate.

He interacted with PMAY beneficiaries and sought their feedback.

He also held an interaction with PRIs of the district which was chaired  by Chairman, District Development Council Kupwara, Irfan sultan Panditpori ,and attended by  Vice Chairman DDC Kupwara, Haji Farooq Ahmad Mir, District Development Council  members, and  Chairpersons of  Block Development Councils.

Director visited Sogam (Lolab) and Hiri Qadirabad blocks of the district and inspected PMAY (G) registration camps.

He also paid a visit to Amritsarovar developed at Gulgam under Mission Amritsarovar during 2022-23.

Director was accompanied by ACD Kupwara, Hilal Ahmad Mir and other officers of the department.

While inspecting the PMAY registration camps, the Director reiterated the commitment of the Central government towards providing houses to all deserving families saying that the scheme shall be implemented in a transparent and accountable manner.

Director exhorted upon the concerned officers and field functionaries to complete the verification and registration process of eligible genuine beneficiaries well in time.
