Five residential houses, three vehicles attached under NDPS Act in Anantnag

Anantnag — In a significant operation against Drug trafficking and Narcotics-related crimes, Anantnag Police have attached Five residential houses and three vehicles, collectively valued at ₹4.3 crores, under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act. This decisive action is part of ongoing efforts to combat the drug menace in the region.

Details of attached properties are residential houses 1. Reyaz Ahmad Dar, son of Mohammad Ramzan Dar, a resident of Hassanpora Tawella, had his single-story house attached by Bijbehara Police for involvement in several NDPS cases. 2. Mohammad Yousuf Reshi, son of Ali Mohammad Reshi, linked to a major narcotics recovery case, had his double-story house attached by Bijbehara Police. 3. Subzar Ahmad Mir, son of Sonaullah Mir, also from Hassanpora Tawella, had his single-story residential property attached. 4. Mohammad Shafi Dar, son of Mohammad Maqbool Dar, a resident of Tulkhan Bijbehara, saw his double-story residential house attached for NDPS activities. 5. Abdul Hamid Chopan, a habitual offender from Malpora Ranipora, had his residential house, valued at ₹30 lakhs, attached by Achabal Police.

Vehicles (3): A Santro car (JK02B-6823) belonging to Mohammad Shafi Dar. A WagonR (HR28C-9580) owned by Manzoor Ahmad Mantoo of Waghama Bijbehara. A Toyota Corolla (HR51AL-0505) registered to Rahul Singh of New Delhi. Total Value: ₹4.3 Crores

These proactive measures reflect Anantnag Police’s commitment to dismantling drug trafficking networks and ensuring that those involved in such crimes face stringent legal consequences. By targeting the properties and assets of offenders, the police aim to deter further illegal activities and disrupt the financial backbone of drug networks. — (KIMS)
