Tangdhar, Kupwara: In a remarkable healthcare initiative, Doctor Shah’s Sight Centre (DSSC), with the support of the District Administration Kupwara, CMO Kupwara, and BMO Kupwara, successfully conducted a major eye care camp at Sub-District Hospital (SDH) Tangdhar.
The camp, hailed as a significant milestone after nearly a decade, provided 76 free cataract surgeries and 764 eye screenings to patients from Karnah and adjoining areas. The initiative has been appreciated by the local community for bringing specialized healthcare closer to people in this border region.
BMO Karnah, Dr. Arif Khawaja, extended heartfelt thanks to Doctor Shah’s Sight Centre and partners for their contribution in restoring vision and improving the quality of life for so many.
The successful organization of the camp reflects the strong collaboration between government agencies and private healthcare institutions in addressing critical medical needs of the region
