Fresh Amarnath Yatra Convoys Suspended From Jammu To Baltal As Precautionary Measure

Srinagar : As a precautionary security measure ahead of call given by some political organizations, movement of fresh Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra (SANJY-2026) convoys from Jammu to Baltal remained suspended today.

Officials told that return convoys carrying pilgrims from Baltal to Jammu were also kept suspended for the day.

However, pilgrims already stationed at the Baltal Base Camp were permitted to proceed to the Holy Cave Shrine for darshan as per the scheduled movement.

Authorities clarified that the suspension of convoy movement is a temporary preventive security measure. The Yatra is continuing in a regulated and controlled manner under enhanced security arrangements.

Officials said the overall situation remains peaceful and security measures continue to remain in force along the yatra route.(GNS)
