Handwara Police arrested a notorious drug Peddler in NDPS case. 50 grams of Heroin recovered from his possession.

In its continuous efforts and war against menace of drugs Handwara Police today arrested one drug peddler in the jurisdiction of Police Station Handwara.

Today a police party of Police Station Handwara while on naka duty at Chotipora apprehended one person namely *Tanveer Ahmad Wani S/o Mohd Ishaq R/o Gulgam Kupwara* who was boarding in Vehicle Swift bearing *Regd. No. JK01S 7022*. During his search Heroin like substance approx 50 grams wrapped in a polythene were recoverd. *Case FIR No 363/2021 U/s 8/21 NDPs Act* stands registerd in Police Station Handwara against the accused person and the Vehicle used for the commission of crime has also been seized in the instant case. The said accused has been taken to Police Station Handwara for further investigation.

The war against drug menace will continue to make the society drug free.
