Health & nutrition camp held in Kupwara

A day-long health and nutrition camp was organised by Poshan Abhyan Project in collaboration with Govt Degree College Kupwara on Thursday, in which scores of people from the adjoining area joined. Cheif guest of the programme was principal govt degree college kupwara Mohammad Shafi lone.

On the occasion, information about health and nutrition education, a balanced and healthy diet, Nasha Mukt Bharat Abiyaan, and Anemia Mukt Bharat Abiyaan was given to participants.

A food stall display of healthy and nutritious food was also kept. Aadhar Enrollment, Golden Card Enrollment, HB test for children to detect anemia, PMMVY enrollment and other services were also provided on the spot.

Community members viz PRIs,Nursing/ Pregnant ladies,adolescent girls and children have taken part in the said programme. Rallies were conducted across these Mugalpora area regarding Nasha Mukt Abhiyaan.

While addressing the gathering, CDPO Riyaz ahmad said that proper nutrition is vital at every stage of life, especially for children to stimulate their mental and physical growth.

People praised efforts for conducting such type of vibrant programme by Poshan Project Kupwara and thanked CDPO Riyaz ahmad for his tireless efforts to make this programme successful.
