‘IED Recovered In Handwara’

Srinagar : An improvised explosive device (IED) was on Monday morning recovered by a Road Opening Party of BSF in a Handwara village, officials said.

They told that at about 0745 hrs, ROP party of E/54 Bn BSF under ops control of SHQ BSF Kupwara detected/recovered an IED in general area Bhattpura village near culvert on Handwara.

The recovery of the explosive has averted a major tragedy, they further said. (GNS)
