Srinagar : Suspected militants on Saturday shot dead a Kashmiri Pandit in Choudhary Gund area of south Kashmir’s Shopian district.

Official sources told that militants fired upon a Kashmiri Pandit identified as Pandit Poran Krishan Bhat son of Tarak Nath Bhat resident of Choudhary Gund Shopian from close range at his residence.

He was immediately shifted to nearby hospital, where doctors declared him brought dead, they said.

Meanwhile whole area has been cordoned off to nab the attackers.(GNS)
