Kupwara Police Attach Drug Trafficker’s Property Worth ₹8.62 Lakh Under NDPS Act

Kupwara : In a significant action against proceeds of narcotics-related crime, Kupwara Police today attached a residential house valued at approximately ₹8.62 lakh belonging to Shabir Ahmad Chohan S/o Ghulam Mohammad Chohan R/o Darpora, Lolab, District Kupwara, under the provisions of Section 68-F of the NDPS Act, 1985.

The property has been attached in connection with FIR No. 06/2018 registered under relevant sections of the NDPS Act. The attachment was carried out after completion of the prescribed legal formalities and establishment of the property’s linkage with illicit proceeds generated through narcotics-related activities.
