“Kupwara Police Destroys Seized Narcotic Drugs, Including Heroin and Brown Sugar”

Kupwara : In a significant step towards combating drug trafficking, Kupwara Police today destroyed 98.775 kilograms of seized narcotic substances, including heroin and brown sugar, in connection with various cases registered under the NDPS Act.

The destruction was carried out at the Drug Disposal Facility in Lassipora, Pulwama, by the UT-Level Drug Disposal Committee in accordance with the provisions of NDPS Act and in compliance with the orders passed by fast track court Kupwara . The process was conducted under the supervision of the Inspector General of Police Crime Headquarters J&K Srinagar. The event was attended by the DIG, North Kashmir Range (NKR),officials of the Anti-Narcotics Task Force (ANTF), CID, and other designated members of the committee.
The entire disposal process was carried out in a transparent manner, ensuring strict adherence to all legal provisions and prescribed procedures.
