Kupwara : The District Police Kupwara today inaugurated the Kupwara Police Men’s T20 Knockout Cricket Tournament 2025–26 with great enthusiasm and strong participation from the local community.
The opening match was played between YMC Lolab and Shaheen Sports Lolab, with Shaheen Sports emerging victorious by 21 runs in an exciting contest. The tournament will feature 42 teams vying for the coveted title, promising weeks of competitive and entertaining cricket.
The inaugural ceremony was graced by ASP Kupwara Shri Javid Ahmad as the Chief Guest, along with DySP DAR Shri Gulzar Rashid, DySP PC Sogam Shri Atif Zahoor, and RI Rehman Sahib. A large gathering of cricket enthusiasts witnessed the event, creating a vibrant and festive atmosphere at the venue.
Through such initiatives, Kupwara Police continues to engage the youth meaningfully by promoting sportsmanship, discipline, and camaraderie, while providing a platform for local talent to shine.
