As part of public outreach programme Thana Diwas an initiative of Government of J&K, was organised by kupwara Police at Police Choki Bazaar kupwara.
The Programme was chaired by Dysp DAR Sarfaraz Bashir
SHO kupwara Rafiq Ahmad lone, Incharge PP bazar
Sameer ahmed and other officers and officials were also present on the occasion.
Chairman Municipal Committee kupwara ,ward Members , Trade & Transport Associations,Civil Society members and respectable persons of the area were also present on the occasion.
During the Programme, participants highlighted various issues of public importance and they were assured that their genuine grievances pertaining to Police will be resolved on priority and that of Civil administration will be taken up with the concerned departments for their early redressal.
Dysp DAR Sarfaraz Bashir while speaking on the occasion said that Thana Diwas is an initiative started by the Government of J&K to bridge the gap between Police and Public and also to hear and redress the grievances of common masses.
