Meet comedian Waris Wani, who is rising in popularity on social media.

There is no dearth of talent in Kashmir valley, as youth here are multi-skilled, and have the ability to impress each and everyone with their extraordinary works.

These days, most of the youth use social media to entertain people, and make them laugh all the time, particularly in the form of comedy.

Waris Wani, one of the popular social media based comedians in Kashmir, is from Pinglish area of Tral in southern part of Kashmir, who has been entertaining the people for years, irrespective of situation.

Waris is B.tech pass-out from Haryana’s Kurukshetra University, & is running a youtube channel titled as ‘Funny Kashmir’, where he upload comic videos, and has managed to get 1.34 lac subscribers so far.

Most of his videos apparently bring good messages to the people, besides entertainment, which make people compelled to subscribe his channel.

To make the funny videos more impressive and reachable, Waris has formed a team group of artists, who are quite happy in working with him.

Earlier, Waris said that the idea to start youtube channel, flashed his mind, a few years back, which proved successful, as the channel is getting overwhelming response and subscriptions.

He even continued to entertain people at the time, when COVID-19 was prevalent in the Kashmir valley.

In a recent interview at Zam Zam Bakery and Fast Food Uptown Tral, Waris said that he always tries to make those videos, which bring change in the society.

He further said that he usually focuses on the social issues like Drugs, Dowry and have recently released the song on communal harmony, titled as ‘PIR VAER’.

It is pertinent to mention here that besides 1.34 lac subscribers on YouTube channel, Waris Wani has managed to get around 1 lac followers on Instagram, and 1 lac, 22 thousand followers on Facebook till date.
