Kupwara : Mir Fayaz, Member of the Legislative Assembly (MLA) for Kupwara, conducted an inspection of the Sub-District Hospital (SDH) Kupwara today to assess the current healthcare facilities and identify essential equipment requirements aimed at improving medical services in the region.
During the visit, MLA Mir reviewed various departments of the hospital, including the emergency ward and outpatient services, to evaluate the quality of services provided and to understand the challenges faced by the medical staff. He emphasized the importance of prioritizing patient care and ensuring that the hospital is equipped with the necessary resources to serve the community effectively.
This inspection is part of MLA Mir’s ongoing efforts to enhance healthcare infrastructure in Kupwara. Previously, he has raised concerns about the need for better medical facilities and has advocated for the upgradation of SDH Kupwara to a District Hospital to meet the growing healthcare demands of the population.
The local administration has acknowledged the importance of such initiatives and is expected to collaborate with state health authorities to address the identified needs and implement improvements in the healthcare system of Kupwara.
