Leh, Ladakh : Under the aegis of the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, Government of India, MY Bharat is set to organize the Viksit Bharat Vibrant Village Program 2026 in Ladakh from June 3, 2026. The program will bring together 40 young participants from Delhi, Madhya Pradesh, and Gujarat, providing them with a unique opportunity to engage with communities living in India’s remote border regions.
The initiative is aimed at strengthening national integration, fostering youth leadership, and promoting a deeper understanding of the social, cultural, and developmental landscape of border villages. Through direct interaction with local residents, participants will gain firsthand exposure to the lifestyle, traditions, challenges, and aspirations of communities residing in strategically important frontier areas.
During the program, participants will be divided into groups and assigned to identified border villages across Ladakh. They will stay in close association with local communities and take part in a range of activities designed to encourage cultural exchange, community engagement, and experiential learning. The youth will also explore Ladakh’s rich heritage, unique ecology, traditional practices, and ongoing developmental initiatives.
The program seeks to inspire young citizens to contribute towards the vision of Viksit Bharat@2047 by nurturing a spirit of service, responsibility, and national pride. It also aims to bridge geographical and cultural distances by creating meaningful connections between youth from different parts of the country and residents of border villages.
MY Bharat officials stated that the initiative reflects the Government of India’s commitment to empowering youth and ensuring inclusive development in remote regions. By providing young participants with an immersive experience in border areas, the program will help cultivate greater awareness about the significance of vibrant and resilient frontier communities in nation-building.
The Viksit Bharat Vibrant Village Program 2026 is expected to serve as a powerful platform for learning, collaboration, and cultural understanding, further strengthening the bond between India’s youth and its border communities.
