National Painting Camp Day 3: On spot competition hosted for budding student artists

JAMMU, OCTOBER 21: An on the spot children’s painting competition was organised here in the premises of Kala Kendra Jammu on the day 3 of the Five Day National Painting camp/workshop organised by Jammu and Kashmir Academy of Art Culture and Languages(JKAACL).

Young girls and boys students in the age group of 16 to 22, drawn from Government Girls Higher Secondary Shastri Nagar, GHSS Gandhi Nagar, GHSS Jorian Akhnoor, GRHSS Jammu City, GHSS Rehari, GHSS R S Pura, GHSS Gajansoo and other schools, participated in the competition organised under the aegis of Azadi Ka Amrut Mahotsav- India @ 75.

Abuzar Ali of Hari Singh Higher Secondary School grabbed the first position, Anvi Choudhary of KV-1 Gandhi Nagar stood second and 3rd position went to Kasak Patra of GHHS Shastri Nagar.

Jang S Verman, Prof. Ram Ranjan and Prof. Mamta Singh judged the painting works of the students.

The painting camp began on October 19, 2021 and was inaugurated by Divisional Commissioner Jammu, Dr Raghav Langer as the chief guest.

The event is witnessing participation of artists of National repute including Prof. Ramviranjan from Kurukshetra Haryana, Dr Ramshabad Singh from Saharanpur UP, Bhim Malhotra from Chandigarh, Dr Richa Kamboj of Dehradun, Dr Mamta Singh, Dehradun , Dr Indu Tripathi, Delhi, Nawal Kishore Delhi, Prof. Saroj Rani Varanasi, Pratima Singh Lucknow UP and from Jammu, K K Gandhi, Mohd Akram, Kamal Nain Bhan, Jang S Verman, Bhushan Kesar, Dr Milan Sharma, Ashok Mehra, Sunil Dutt, Veer ji Sumbli, Vijay Sapro, Archna Choudhary, Deepa Soni, Antima Manhas and Dheeraj Kapoor.
