Police Commemoration Day observed at DPL Doda
DODA, OCTOBER 21: The “Police Commemoration Day” was today observed here at District Police Lines (DPL), Doda in the memory of Martyrs, who have sacrificed their lives for the peace and tranquility of the nation.
The program was attended by the NoKs of Police martyrs and Officers of Police, Paramilitary and Civil Administration.
Chairman District Development Council, Dhananter Singh alongwith other counselors and Chairman Municipality Committee Doda, Ved Parkash Gupta were also present on the occasion.
Contingents of CRPF, IRP , SSB and District Police participated in the commemoration day parade under the command of Shouket Ali, DySP (DAR) Doda.
Additional SP Bhaderwah paid floral tributes to the martyrs on behalf of the police Department, SSP Doda and families of the Martyrs. The names of Martyrs, who achieved martyrdom during the last one year, were read out by the ASP. After commemoration Day parade, an interaction session was held with the family members of Martyrs in order to familiarize them about the schemes, which have been launched by the Government as well as Police department for the welfare of NoKs of Martyrs and also to redress their grievances pertaining to Police, Civil and other departments.
The families of martyrs were assured of every possible help from District Police Doda at any point of time.
Later DDC Chairman and ASP Bhaderwah presented gifts to the families on behalf of Doda Police.
CO IRP 5th Bn, Sanjeev Kumar; ASP Hqrs Doda Master Popsy; SP Ops Doda, Raj Kumar; Dy CO IRP 5th Bn, P.N. Tickoo; DySP Hqrs Doda, Jaswant Singh, besides Officers of SSB, 7th bn and CRPF 76 Bn and officers of District administration and prominent citizens of the town were also present on the occasion.
