On hearing the name Republic (January 26), Two things first come to the mind of Every Indian Citizen. First is the Constitution of India and Second is the Grand Parade in the Capital Delhi on the occasion of Republic Day Celebrated every Year with Great Enthusiasm. In 1950, the Constitution of India came into force on 26th January. That is, 74 Years ago Today, for the first time every Indian had their Own Law. The Constitution became the most authentic document for every Citizen of the Country and every word of it became the dignity of the Country. With the promulgation of the Constitution, India became a Sovereign Country. Everything was his own, from the Geography of the Country to the Politics, Everything was done for his Citizens.
This Sovereignty is protected by the Indian Army, whose Soldiers are ready to lay down their lives to protect their Country. Every Year on January 26, a Grand Parade is held in the Capital City New Delhi, in which the Army Troops salute their Supreme Commander, the President of India, recalling their history and Pride.
Parade for the first time in the Year 1955
Starting from Rashtrapati Bhawan, the parade ends at Red Fort. Many people think that it is being organized since the first Republic Day, but it is not, the Parade was first held on Republic Day in 1955. On January 26, 2023, the parade is taking place on Kartbia Path, but at that time it was called Rajpath. Running continuously since 1955, the parade has changed location four times.
The Location Kept Changing
Before the Year 1955, the Republic Day Parade was held at different Places in Delhi. It was held at the Irwin Stadium in Delhi on the first Republic Day. After that, sometimes at Ramlila Maidan, Sometimes at Red Fort and Sometimes at Rajpath, the President of the Republic Saluted the Parade. In the Year 1955, for the first time, the Parade was held on the Rajpath on 26th January. The parade has since been made Permanent also the salute stage was made Permanent, Where the Country’s Army Salutes its Supreme Commander.
Civilization Tableau (Jhanki) with Military Power
The march of army units on the Rajpath is where the military strength of the country is felt. In this parade, the Cultural glimpse of the Country is also seen by the Country and the World. Tableaus from different States and Union Territories across the Country also find a Place in the Parade, reflecting the different Cultures there. Tableaus of different States and Union Territories win hearts. 1953 saw the first glimpse of Cultural Folk Dances on 26 January, including Tribal Dances from Separate States. Civilizations and Cultures exemplify Unity in diversity in the Country also, giving opportunities to every Colour of the Country to join it on this Occasion. On this occasion, People Who Perform well in various fields are Awarded various Prizes across the Country on this occasion,School Children Everywhere enthusiastically Present various Programmes and it seems to be a Nationwide Festival.
