In the Islamic faith, the role of a mother is especially revered, for she is seen as a divine gift from Almighty Allah, a manifestation of His mercy on Earth.

Islam places immense importance on the status of a mother. The Quran and Hadiths are replete with references to the high esteem in which mothers are held. One of the most well-known Hadiths of Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) states, “Paradise lies under the feet of mothers.” This powerful statement underscores the idea that serving and honoring one’s mother is not just a duty but a pathway to eternal bliss. It reflects the deep spiritual connection between the service to one’s mother and the rewards in the Hereafter.

His mother carried him, [increasing her] in weakness upon weakness, and his weaning is in two years. Be grateful to Me and to your parents; to Me is the [final] destination” (Quran 31:14).
