Besides that Farzana Fayyaz Choudhary, Ambreen Khatani, Samina Riaz, Afsana Choudhary, Mehek Choudhary, and Rubiya Chaudhary Saim are some of the women who are active in presenting Gojri program comments, dialogues, stories and poetry from various Gojri pages and channels.
Sada e Gujjar, Kunj e adab Gojri Mahari zuban, Gojri zuban and Gojri FM and many other pages are also paying attention to women’s gojri literature. Gujri language and literature is being promoted through another audio application called Clubhouse, in which women are also playing their role “Tareq Hussain Abrar who is a well known writer, author and Journalist is running a Gojri program ” Souch Vichaar”under his Tariq Abrar Official club.
Naseem Akhtar is an important member of this program. In the field of Gojri literature. Naseem Akhtar from jammu is an emerging character in Gojri poetry , ghazal and songs, she is experimenting in Gojri stories also. She has also participated in many programs and presented Gojri poetry in jammu and kashmir academy of art culture and languages.
A young poetess from Poonch, Zahida Khanam, has also come forward through these platforms. Her poetry is of a very high quality and it is a matter of great pride that her collection of poetry has been published in the form of a book, “Pahakhta Pahamar” and she holds the status of the first book author woman in Gojri language and literature. Through the academy and social media platforms another young artist Shadiya Parveen is promoting Gojri language and literature. Her specialty is that she likes Gojri folk songs and conveys her melodious voice to the world from the stage in Gojri traditional dress. Gojri folk songs echo in Shadiya Parveen’s voice
So, the mirror of the culture of the entire Gujjar nation is transparent. Thanks to these sources, another young singer, Naseem Akhtar Kasana, has also come forward in Gojri music and is promoting the female literature of the mother tongue.
Gojri story writer, researcher and poet Rana Abrar, who can be considered as the future of Gojri language and literature, has also organized programs in the name of “Aalmi Gojri zuban” in the club house, in which women have also been represented and some special programs have also been done which has increased Gojri women’s literature. Well-known scholar and researcher of Gojri language Dr. Javed Rahi and famous Gojri broadcaster Hasan parwaz are two such personalities whose work for Gojri women’s literature is commendable even today through their respective YouTube channels they are trying to present and promote women literature in Gojri language.
NG and Women in Gojri Literature
Apart from government institutions and mass media like Radio and Cultural Academy, there are many non-governmental associations and organizations that are helping in the promotion and publication of Gojri language and literature.
I will definitely mention a few of these organizations and associations whose work for Gojri language and literature is noteworthy.
Gujjar Desh Charitable Trust, Tribal Research and Cultural Foundation, Adbi sangat Kashmir, Anjuman e traqqi gojri zuban, Wadi Anas Gujri Adab Mahur, Gujjar Foundation Pakistan, Gujjar Sangat Pakistan, Sanjhi Tehzeeb Muzaffarabad, Anjuman Gojri zuban o adab Dharamsal Kalakot Rajouri. All these organizations have certainly done a lot for Gojri literature but nothing special for women’s literature.
Just a couple of organizations such as Anjuman Gojri zuban o adab Dharamsal Kalakot Rajouri, Wadi Anas Gujri adab Mehoor and Sanjhi Tehzeeb Muzaffarabad gave a little representation to women equal to the salt in the dough. Awaz e Gujjar social media page was created under the banner of Anjuman e gojri zuban o adab mobilized some women by representing them. Apart from this, the first full-fledged Gojri newspaper was also started under the banner of the same association, in which undersigned was appointed as the associate editor. Nikhat Choudhary and Kulsoom Choudhary were also represented in the editorial board. Apart from this, the association has prioritized the inclusion of women in its literary programmes.
Anjuman e Gojri zuban o adab Dharamsal has given place to women in Gojri drama for the first time after radio. Rukhsana Kouser is the first woman in Gojri drama in the entire sub-continent who was introduced on the street theater stage and Tahira Rehman was introduced on the big stage like Rang Manch. . Apart from this, today Afsana Chaudhary is known for her acting in Gojri drama, but this association has not made any special plan by which women can promote literature by doing prominent work in Gojri literature.
In the end, I would like to say that women’s Gojri literature has been mistreated and it is still happening today. Even in Gojri, instead of two authors there were many women authors in Gojri and the past, present and future of Gojri women’s literature would have been bright and no one would have had the courage to question the existence of Goljri women’s literature and demonstrate their mental disorder.
