New Delhi : Prime Minister Narendra Modi has shared a video of his daily morning routine, in which he can be seen feeding cows and peacocks at his Lok Kalyan Marg residence just before leaving for the Red Fort to address the nation on the 80th Independence Day.
“Feeding my friends every morning is a daily routine. Yesterday morning, they somehow realised I’m leaving early, so they came to meet me as I was leaving for the Red Fort. Special, as always,” he wrote in an Instagram post on Sunday.
Peacocks and cows of a miniature breed frequently appear in the prime minister’s social media posts, often seen accompanying him during his early morning walks on the lawns of his residence.
The video captured candid moments just before one of the prime minister’s most important annual events, which includes the ceremonial hoisting of the tricolour and his address to the nation from the historic Red Fort.
The post came amid his intensified digital outreach, particularly toward Gen Z, following the recent student protests in different parts of the country.
While addressing the nation from the ramparts of the Red Fort, Modi reached out to the youth in a big way through a series of announcements — free online coaching for competitive exams, AI training for one crore youth, a sports talent hunt and a vibrant civil defence network.
He also listed opportunities for them in areas ranging from manufacturing, space and nuclear to semiconductors.
The prime minister referred to the youth more than 50 times in his 75-minute speech. (AGENCIES)
