Police Arrests Man with 01 Kg Charas in Kupwara

Kupwara : In yet another case of apprehension of a narcotics smuggler, Kupwara Police has arrested a person with one Kilogram of Charas from Lolab area. While on naka duties at Dardpora crossing in Lalpora Lolab , police personnel of Police Station Lalpora led by SHO Mushtaq Ahmad noticed the movement of a person moving under suspicious circumstances. The person later identified as Mohd Maqbool Chakbari son of Shahjahan Chakbari , a resident of same locality on personal search was found in possession of one Kilogram of Charas like substance. The person after legal formalities was taken into custody and a case under relevant sections of NDPS Act has been registered in Police Station Lalpora and investigations taken up.
