Prompt action by Police leads to recovery of contraband in Pulwama

Pulwama : Demonstrating prompt response on actionable intelligence, Police in Pulwama carried out a successful operation in the Litter area, leading to the recovery of contraband substance.

Police Station Litter received reliable information regarding concealment of narcotic substance at a residential house in Batapora Naina. Acting on this input, a police team was immediately constituted and dispatched to the location. During search, conducted as per established procedures, a substance resembling Charas powder weighing approximately 417.5 grams, was recovered from the residence of Ab Rashid Mir son of Ali Mohammad Mir.

In this regard, a case FIR No. 39/2026 under relevant provisions of the NDPS Act has been registered at Police Station Litter and investigation has been initiated.

J&K Police continues its efforts to curb drug-related activities and appeals to the public to extend cooperation by sharing any information related to such unlawful practices.
