Kupwara : In a laudable initiative under its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) programme, State Bank of India (SBI), Branch Kupwara has constructed a fully equipped bathroom facility exclusively for girl students at Government Upper Primary School Gundkamal, Zone Langate.
The school has more than 100 girl students enrolled, and the absence of a proper sanitation facility had been a major concern for a long time. Keeping in view the needs of adolescent girls, SBI has ensured that the newly constructed bathroom is provided with all modern facilities, including a geyser for hot water, water taps, water storage tank, and other essential fittings to maintain hygiene and comfort.
The initiative will go a long way in ensuring privacy, safety, and dignity for girl students and is expected to have a positive impact on their attendance and overall well-being.
The school administration, parents, and local community have highly appreciated this best initiative by State Bank of India, expressing gratitude for addressing a critical infrastructural need.
This CSR effort once again reflects SBI’s strong commitment towards girls’ education, health, and community development.
