BUDGAM : Krishi Vigyan Kendra (KVK) Budgam, SKUAST-K today organized a one day Entrepreneurship Awareness Programme (EAP) on “Fodder Processing Technologies- Entrepreneurship Opportunities in Animal Feed Industry” for farmers of Pohroo Budgam.

The programme was sponsored by the Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprise (MSME), GoI and was aimed to sensitize and build entrepreneurial mindset among the farmers and develop their skills so that they can start their own startups.

A total of 60 farmers from the said village attended the awareness programme.

Dr Mir Nadeem Hassan (Scientist Animal Science/Coordinator) during his lecture stressed upon the need of upskilling of youth for instilling an entrepreneurship spirit among the people especially in the Animal Feed Industry.

Dr. Ajaz Ahmad Ganie (Scientist Animal Science KVK Pulwama) delivered a PowerPoint presentation on the Fodder Processing Technologies for maximizing livestock profitability.

Iram Farooq (P. A. Fisheries) discussed various Government initiatives and schemes in the allied sector for the benefit of the farming community.
