The search was carried out at the residence of Ghulam Ahmad Rather, resident of Saidpora, Sopore. The operation was conducted in the presence of an Executive Magistrate, ensuring full legal compliance and transparency.

During the search, incriminating material linked to Jammu and Kashmir Ittihadul Muslimeen (JKIM), a proscribed organisation under UAPA, was recovered and seized. Further investigation is underway to identify the broader network and establish links to the banned outfit.

This action reflects Sopore Police’s unwavering commitment to act firmly against individuals or networks involved in separatist or terror-linked activities. Sopore Police reiterates that no element attempting to disturb peace or threaten national sovereignty will be spared.
