The accused, Mohammad Irfan Sheikh @ Iff S/o Mohammad Ashraf Sheikh R/o Pamposh Colony, Palpora Noorbagh, is a known narcotics offender involved in multiple NDPS cases, including:

FIR No. 134/2024 U/S 8/21, 29 NDPS Act of PS Safakadal

FIR No. 48/2025 U/S 8/21 NDPS Act of PS Sangam

Investigation and verification have revealed that the said structure was raised illegally on land acquired and developed using proceeds generated from narcotics trafficking. The construction was carried out without lawful authority, in clear violation of revenue laws.

It has further surfaced that close associates and family members of the accused are also reportedly involved in multiple NDPS cases across the Valley, indicating a wider network linked to drug peddling activities.

Acting on credible inputs and after due legal process, the demolition has been carried out in coordination with the concerned authorities, strictly in accordance with law and after completion of all codal formalities.

Citizens are urged to come forward and support this collective fight to safeguard the youth and society from the menace of drugs.
