KUPWARA, NOVEMBER 9: Vice Chairman, District Development Council (DDC) Kupwara, Haji Farooq Ahmad Mir today said that three tier panchayati raj system has been established to bring forth far flung areas like Lolab on development picture.
The Vice Chairman was on a day long tour to various areas of Wavoora DDC constituency including Khodi, Gagal and Wavoora.
During the visit, the Vice Chairman interacted with PRIs and people and heard their developmental issues and grievances.
The Vice Chairman also inspected various ongoing developmental works being executed by different departments in these areas.
At Government High School Gagal, the Vice Chairman held a joint meeting in which officers, PRIs and senior citizens besides, general public participated.
While addressing the meeting, the Vice Chairman reaffirmed his committment to work for overall development of the people of Lolab valley especially the far flung areas like Gagal and Khodi.
The Vice Chairman stressed upon the officers to work with added zeal for betterment and welfare of poor and needy people of the area to ensure balanced development. He directed them to ensure completion of all ongoing developmental works before the onset of winter so that people living in these areas are benefitted in large.
BDC Chairperson Wavoora, Mohammed Rafiq; BMO Sogam, Dr. Farid Ahmad; NT Khurhama, officers and representatives from different departments were present and accompanied the Vice Chairman.
