From a very long period, Pakistan has been spreading Terrorism and has been suppressing the voices of its own people. The People of POK has became the victim of their terrorist ideology. They are prone to violence, hardships and troubles which is not possible to explain in words. By pen and paper it can be said ‘Azad’ Kashmir, but pragmatically the place has seen numerous upheavals and continuous blackouts. The people in the region encounter internet blackouts and violent suppression of their rights. Pakistan has always sought to disrupt peace and prosperity, not only in POK but also in the Kashmir Valley, as seen in past events. It is important to note that the Indian Army has always responded ardently to their acts of violence and inhumanity. Pakistan with their cheap mentality had shattered the rights of the people in POK time by time, unfortunately their voices were not heard by anyone and they kept facing such bad situations. The people there are legally seeking their rights, but they face internet blackouts and violence instead. This should be made clear that there is no place for terrorism and no one has any rights to take the innocent lives because this is clear discrimination of the Human rights. Our nation India, has clearly stated that it has a zero-tolerance policy against all forms of terrorism and terrorist acts from Pakistan. If they ever try to cross their limits, they will face a strong response.

The Denial of Rights in POK. Questioning UNHRC to safeguard their rights.

People in Pakistan-occupied Kashmir, are surviving in fear, turmoil and commotion. They have no right to ‘say’ at all and encounter numerous problems be it right to speak or say their opinions. The truth is many villages in PoK are very poor, and families face many unimaginable problems. Not a day passes, but we hear unfortunate incidents in POK, be it curbing their rights or taking poor lives. Their voices are falling on deaf ears and blind eyes. People of Muzaffarabad, Gilgit-Baltistan, Mirpur, Kotli face inhuman and rampant situations everyday. No one listens to their issues and they always have to suffer the pain. People in POK, when they raise their voices against corruption, inflation, electricity shutdowns face immense problems and even met with bullets and bloodshed. This is inhuman and disgraceful to humanity. This is not the democracy this is a complete authoritarian government. They shouldn’t call themselves as ‘Democratic” when they snatch the rights of their own people. They have no right to call themselves a Democratic country.

People in PoK have been questioning the United Nations Human Rights Council and how it does its job. Why their voices are not being heard. Why are they suffering so much that everyday they face misfortune and turmoil. Why don’t UNHRC, comes to the ground level to help these families and strongly condemn Pakistan’s terrorist activities. If civilians are suffering, then where are the global peace makers. The United Nations Human Rights Council and other organizations like Amnesty International, Human Rights Watch, and the International Commission of Jurists, that also claim to care about justice and accountability.

A mother searching for her detained son doesn’t care about diplomatic statements. She just want her son back.

A student denied freedom of expression doesn’t care about geopolitical games. He is worried about the future of those students who face such hardships and troubles.

A laborer trying to survive with no electricity, no stable work is a matter of great problems. Terrorism does not destroy borders only, it also tears apart families and societies as a whole. Right now, a lot of people in PoK are dealing with big problems like bad infrastructure, not many opportunities, rising prices, and not being able to do what they want. Meanwhile, the people in charge just keep making promises that don’t usually make life better for regular people.

The silence around these realities has become dangerous for these innocent people who are dying of such grave problems.

When the world ignores suffering long enough, suffering starts to normalize itself. That normalization, honestly, might be the greatest tragedy of all. A child growing up amid curfews, fear, repression, and hopelessness slowly begins to think injustice is normal. This is how human crises become permanent, and not just temporary emergencies.

People of PoK deserve visibility. Their voices must be heard.

Pakistan must stop all kinds of terrorist activities and All the Global Justice making systems must interfere to protect the innocent lives.

They deserve freedom of speech and expression.

They deserve accountable governance.

They deserve protection from violence, and from extremism.

Above all, everyone has the right to feel safe and not be scared.

Pakistan has always aimed to disrupt peace, harmony, and prosperity in India, but our security forces have consistently opposed their harmful ideology that threatens national peace. As Union Home Minister Shri Amit Shah said, the entire region of POK is historically and legally part of the Union of India, stating, “POK Hamara hai” (POK is ours). He also said that they are willing to sacrifice their lives for POK. The Honourable Prime Minister of India, Shri Narendra Modi, has stated that there can be no dialogues with Pakistan unless it’s about POK. He has made it clear that there will be no trade or diplomatic discussions with Pakistan. He warned that if Pakistan continues to support and facilitate terrorism, it will face severe economic consequences. India has taken a zero-tolerance stance against all forms of terrorism. The terrorism, violence, and suppression of people’s rights in POK are of great concern. Common civilians have suffered the most due to fear, instability, and the loss of peace and freedom. Pakistan must stop all forms of terrorism and terrorist activities immediately, otherwise they will face serious consequences.
