ACB Traps, Arrests R&B Employee For Taking Bribe in Bandipora

Srinagar : Jammu and Kashmir Anti-Corruption Bureau on Thursday afternoon trapped and arrested an employee of R&B department for accepting bribe.
Reliable sources told that one Ghulam Nabi Wani was arrested red-handed while accepting a bribe of Rupees 28000 at Bandipora.

They said that on receipt of the complaint, a FIR was registered, under section 7 Prevention of Corruption Act, 1988 in Police Station ACB North wing and investigation was taken up.

Accordingly a trap team was constituted. The trap team laid a successful trap and caught Ghulam Nabi Wani of R&B Bandipora while accepting a bribe of rupees 28000 on the spot. The bribe money was recovered in presence of independent witnesses.

The officer was taken to police station and further investigation into the matter is going on. (KDC)
