Thana Diwas held at Handwara and Chogal

Hand wara : Continuing its initiatives of extending public outreach, today on 06 July 2023, Handwara Police organised Thana Diwas at Handwara and Chogul.

The programmes were conducted by concerned SHO and ICPP which were attended by senior citizens, civil society members, members of the trading community, among others.

The main focus of the programme remained on issues pertaining to drug abuse, social crimes, use and misuse of social media and online trading frauds.

The participants were forthcoming in their suggestions against drug abuse, addiction and social crimes. They were, in turn, advised to remain vigilant against online frauds and scams emerging from misuse of internet / social media. The participants were also urged to exercise caution while banking through the internet. They were also urged to identify early signs of drug addiction among their acquaintances for remedial medical measures which can be availed under proper medical guidance.
