PULWAMA : Deputy Commissioner (DC) Pulwama, Dr. Basharat Qayoom today chaired a comprehensive meeting at Circuit House Pulwama to review the action plan and arrangements for the upcoming Har Ghar Tiranga campaign 2025 and related activities.
At the outset, Additional Deputy Commissioner Pulwama presented a detailed PowerPoint presentation outlining the scheduled activities under the campaign. The chair was apprised that the plan spans from 2nd to 15th August divided into three phases and includes a wide range of initiatives such as wall paintings, flag hoisting ceremonies, cultural programmes, Tiranga rallies, Tiranga Melas, and community engagement drives.
DC instructed all departments to actively coordinate for the smooth execution of planned activities and ensure wide public involvement. He stressed the need to create a festive and patriotic atmosphere across the district through community mobilisation, inclusive participation, and fervent celebrations while adhering to flag code and other protocols.
Dr. Qayoom also directed the concerned departments to integrate activities such as Swachh Sujal Gaon pledges, community clean-up drives, cleanliness of WaSH assets, awareness programmes on sanitation and water conservation, culminating in flag hoisting ceremonies at key WaSH infrastructure sites including Amrit Sarovars and prominent public places.
Additionally, he directed that an adequate number of national flags be made available across the district by involving Self Help Groups (SHGs) in their production and distribution.
