District administration kupwara in collaboration with NGO ELFA international today organised an awareness programme on world disablity day.
ADC Kupwara Mr G. N. Bhat (JKAS) was the chief guest while Mehran Khan, CEO ELFA INTERNATIONAL was the guest of honour at Kupwara. Mr Khan, who has a lifetime engagement with various international organisations working for the rights of people with disabilities spoke about the rights of persons with disabilities and the necessity of their social inclusion.
He also reiterated ELFA INTERNATIONAL’S commitment to promote and advocate the rights of persons with disabilities.
ADC Kupwara appreciated the untiring efforts of ELFA INTERNATIONAL and recollected his first-hand experience with ELFA INTERNATIONAL, right from its inception working in the direction of social betterment.
He also ensured all possible administrative help, as and when needed to ensure the implementation of rights of people with disabilities.
TSWO social welfare Suhail mir, Rashid khan district coordinator ELFA international were also present in this programme.
