During the meeting, the SSP Kupwara reviewed the overall security scenario, the prevailing law and order situation, and the status of pending crime cases across various police jurisdictions. He emphasised strict compliance with the timelines prescribed under the New Criminal Laws (NCLs), expeditious investigation and fast-tracking of women-related offences, and strengthening of beat-level policing to enhance police-public engagement and grassroots surveillance.

The meeting also focused on strengthening intelligence generation and local intelligence networks, intensifying anti-drug drives, ensuring timely investigation and disposal of pending cases, and maintaining close surveillance over anti-social elements. Officers were directed to adopt a proactive, accountable and community-centric approach to policing, with particular emphasis on crime prevention, public safety and maintaining lasting peace across the district.
