An early snowfall wrapped the upper reaches of valley in white blanket . In north Kashmir kupwara parts and Bugdam shopian received the seasons first snowfall . As tourists and the people are enjoying the snowfall but at the same time the miseries of people during winters living in higher reaches need also a readresssal . This year Government of UT has kept all machinery ready which is a welcome step to deal with any eventually . As adminstration keep saying that they are ready to deal with any alert. Govt is regularly issuing advisory and people should adhere. As some days ago LG has taked tough on winter preparedness meeting. Disciplinary Action Will Be Taken For Lack Of Accountability And Services During Winters’ Orders Uninterrupted Power & Water Supply, Timely Clearance Of Snow; Smooth Flow of Transport On National & State Highways.

Sinha passed these directions while chairing a high level meeting to review the winter preparedness of various departments across the Union Territory.
