People most of the time could be heard whining about what is happening around them in terms of governmental ‘inefficiencies’, negative shifts and loopholes within a system. This however needs to be put in the right context and things are required to be seen through an impartial lens. Blaming the system has probably become a norm and favourite pastime of many and also happens to be a place of refuge for our own set of faults and failures. Who makes the system is a genuine question which demands a genuine answer. Without ifs and buts, every individual makes up the system and is thus responsible for its proper functioning and success. We as members of the system define the soundness of it and how fruitful it turns out to be for a society. There is no denial to the fact though that the decision making power lies with few, who bears a decisive role in framing the laws, regulations and policies like government, but at the same time every individual has his/her role to play which in turn has a direct implication on the society. Therefore, in case of failures or loopholes within the system, merely blaming the system without realizing oneself of being part of the same system doesn’t seem to be fair play. Government is not always responsible for mayhem and collapses even though it has a huge role to play. Nevertheless as said this does not exonerate citizens from their responsibilities and duties. Instead of pointing fingers here and there, the right way is to take a front seat and lead towards positive change. At individual levels, we are obliged to deliver our responsibilities to the best of our capacities and if done at all levels, the overall system will see a major overhaul which will make it better than before.
