Srinagar, Apr 06: A group of Kashmiri-based students studying at the Regional Institute of Management and Technology (RIMT) Punjab on Wednesday accused the varisty authorities of deliberating wasting students’ previous time.
Speaking to this newspaper from RIMT University, the students alleged that they are currently pursuing their 5th semester. They claimed that during the previous semester, some students had two practicals reappear and that students were told they were ineligible for the following semester.
The university administration decided to conduct a special examination for students, and students were charged 7000 as exam fees and special exams were conducted. However, the varisty has shown one practical repear again.
A few days back, an HoD told us to appear for an examination for the first semester again, which is an injustice to students.
Students said they have taken loans to get admission to this college, but their precious time is being wasted.
They said, “There are going pillar to post because no one is listening to their grievances.”
The distressed students have urgently called on the university authorities to look into the matter and urged them to don’t waste students’ precious time.
Despite many calls and attempts to reach Varisty officials, they couldn’t be reached.
