The trauma that we are going through currently opened a pandora box of not only problems but lessons as well.when things go wrong at home or at school teens often overreact .They feel life is not fair or things never go their way. They feel greatest and confused. Instead of giving company, support and motivation they are bombarded by conflicting messages from parents and society as well .
Recently, the news about the sad demise of renowned Bollywood actor Sushant Singh Rajput at his residence in Bandra apartment in Mumbai on June 14 staggered the whole country and the Bollywood fraternity en masse. Prima facie report revealed the anoxic strangulation by hanging himself to death.
Following the news, there were many speculations that would have forced him to commit suicide but amongst all those reasons ‘Depression’ seems to be the inevitable factor. The alarming prevalence of this disease can be estimated by the statistical data published by World Health Organization and according to WHO there are more than 264 million people of all ages suffering from depression which is also leading cause of disability worldwide and is a major contributor to the overall global burden of disease. It is well established fact that in worst case scenario, depression eventually leads to suicide. Globally, close to 800000 people die due to suicide every year and suicide is the second leading cause of death in range of 15-29 year individuals.
Now anyone may ponder what is depression?  Unlike other common diseases, depression is a very arduous to predict especially in earlier conditions but by the definition of WHO the symptoms may include depressed mood, loss of interest or pleasure, decreased energy, feelings of guilt or low self-worth, disturbed sleep or appetite, and poor concentration and sometimes the anxiety related symptoms.
What is more intriguing and melancholic about the death of Sushant Singh Rajput who attained the lavishing stardom at his early age and became Bollywood’s flamboyant personality with his exuberant performance in superhit movies like M.S. Dhoni: The Untold story, Kai Po Che, Chhichhore, PK and many others as well. The carrier that he possessed still remains an affirmative dream for many newcomers in the Bollywood industry and an example for any sedulous person despite achieving all these traits and wealth the actor could not possibly find himself in the acumen to overcome the incorrigible state of depression and it unfortunately overpowered the joy of his life.
The severity of the depression can be evaluated by his choice to address his invisible jeopardy by opting for suicidal instinct to expunge the unavoidable miseries. The graveness of the situation cannot be neglected as proof in the given report of World Health Organization and the enormous occurrence of it in our modern societies amidst the era of rapid growth and technology.
Our lifestyles and moreover the way we perceive our mental gestures of mind to eradicate some of the ill feelings or negative thought-provoking situations that could lead to imbroglio resorting to self-destruction. No matter how hazy it turns out to be for a person suffering from depression to stop aggravating himself from extreme decision making still there is an ample scope to recuperate this disease and look ahead for optimistic approaches to deal with the problems whatsoever.
In the ambiance of positivity, explore the deep cognitive abilities embedded within human minds and the socio-religious status to restore the God-gifted glory withstanding any odds in the daily life. If necessary, as if the symptoms are demarcated easily resembling the case of depression, one should not hesitate any further to ask Help from any concerned doctor or an experienced person with required knowledge to overcome this disease and in some cases the medication is not the bad idea too. Parents or the caretakers should actively emphasize on the mutual relationship with their growing wards especially in the teen age where tendencies, exposures to the outside world and to experience new things remain on very high priority. Awareness too plays an important role in explaining the initial conditions of this disease and acknowledging the treacherous consequences associated with this disease.
Lastly self-esteem, love of the parents, religion, cordial relations with our kith and kin and a chance to understand the bounties and essence of life are the ample reasons to believe and start or keep living a LIFE!!!.
