Opinion | Kashmir’s Enchanting Hurud: A Tapestry of Autumn’s Splendor

Kashmir is nestled between the mighty Himalayas, a region of unparalleled beauty and mystique. It’s a place where nature transforms itself into a breathtaking canvas of colours and sensations, and this transformation is known as “Hurud” – Kashmir’s idyllic autumn. The word “Hurud” itself evokes a sense of poetic magic, and it aptly describes the enchantment that descends upon the valley during this season.

Kashmir’s autumn, or Hurud, is a time when nature goes through a splendid transition. The Chinar trees, unique to this region, take centre stage.
