A recent research done on the threats hovering over the world’s lakes has said that water in more than half of the world’s largest lakes and reservoirs is continuously decreasing and they are on the verge of drying up. Due to this, the future water security of humans in many parts of the earth may be at risk. Climate change, increasing heat and increasing water consumption are believed to be the biggest reasons for the drying up of lakes and large reservoirs. At a time when the acute crisis of drinking water is being felt and the emphasis is being laid on the conservation of natural sources of water, it raises new revelations and concerns from this research.
A team included scientists from the US, France and Saudi Arabia to systematically study the scourge. They looked at 1,972 of Earth’s largest lakes and reservoirs using satellite images from 1992 to 2020. They focused on large freshwater lakes largely because of the improved accuracy of satellites as well as their importance to humans and wildlife.
In this study, it was tried to see how and how much the amount of water in the lakes has changed in about 30 years. The results found that 53 percent of lakes and reservoirs showed a decline in water content at a rate of about 22 gigatonnes annually. In this way, it is a warning for the governments and social organizations working for water conservation. Lakes are a type of natural reservoir, whose water is used for drinking water and industries etc. Just as there has been a deep crisis of drinking water in many cities of the world due to the decreasing water level of the rivers, in the same way, if the lakes keep shrinking, then this crisis will become more serious.
Today the whole world is standing under the shadow of a water crisis due to falling water levels in rivers and lakes. Unplanned industrialization, increasing pollution, decreasing deserts and glaciers, declining water level of rivers, environmental destruction, exploitation of nature and insensitivity towards its misuse are leading the whole world towards a major water crisis. Packet and bottled water are becoming symbols of development today and our carelessness towards our resources is making it easier to hand over our basic needs to marketism.
Experts have identified water as one of the major resources that will be the most challenging task to manage in the future. Rivers and lakes, which have been a source of pure water for centuries, are getting polluted due to the promotion of tourism, the water harvesting system is deteriorating, and the water level is continuously decreasing. Today, it is necessary to ensure the availability of clean and safe water from the lakes in all the countries of the world, as well as focus on the importance of water conservation. You can think how much water a human being uses in his lifetime, but does he try to save so much water?
Continuous studies have been done regarding the drying up of lakes, rivers, reservoirs and other natural water sources, the reasons are also clear from their data. But the practical measures that are expected for their protection are not being implemented. The source of the lakes is usually water coming from the mountains. It is accumulated in the form of melting snow or rainwater. But due to climate change, the way the heat is increasing all over the world, in many places there is no snow on the mountains as before and there is not enough rain. Then the ratio of the water that is produced from them has deteriorated. Due to the short duration of the rainy season and less or more amount of rain, sufficient water is not stored in the lakes. Life cannot be imagined without water.
Apart from humans and animals, water is also essential for all forms of agriculture and most industrial production processes. But about 70 percent of the earth’s area is covered with water. But, potable water is only three percent, out of this only one percent of sweet water is actually used by us. In which lakes and rivers are the main water sources. But, man does not miss wasting precious water in his tourism, health, convenience, show off and luxury.
While using water, we do not think at all about saving water, as a result of which a situation of water crisis has arisen in most of the lakes and rivers. As the temperature is rising, the water problem is taking a dire shape in many parts of India. Every year this problem is increasing more than before. The main reason for this is the ever increasing tourism and industrial commercial activities on the mountains. A major disadvantage of promoting the tourism industry has also been that commercial activities have increased in the lakes, due to which garbage has accumulated in them. Due to the lack of a regular desalting system, they have become shallow.
The banks of many lakes have been shrinking. Major lakes of the country, be it Dal Lake in Kashmir or Pushkar Sarovar or Udaipur Lakes – this is not only the result of the neglect of the governments, but also shows the apathy of the social organizations. Earlier the safety of community water sources was ensured, but now that tradition has almost ended. If the health of the lakes is to be improved, then this feeling of indifference and neglect will have to be abandoned, a planned understanding and thinking will have to be developed for the water source and conservation of the lakes.
The main water source of the water of the lakes in India is the melting of the snow coming from the mountains and the water coming from the springs. The mountains of Uttarakhand here are great examples of that. But due to the large-scale development projects started there, not only have the incidents of landslides and landslides increased, but many natural water sources are also facing danger. Due to blocking of the way of rivers and mountain springs there, the water reaching the lakes has reduced considerably. Irrational exploitation of water of many lakes has increased. They are being used extensively for industrial units.
According to a United Nations report, global water use has increased six-fold over the past 100 years, and continues to grow at a rate of about one percent per year due to increasing population, economic development, and changes in consumption patterns. Along with an erratic and uncertain supply of water, climate change has exacerbated the situation in currently water-scarce areas. In such a situation, water conservation is the only solution. Water conservation means preventing wastage of water and preventing it from getting polluted. Because if there is water then there is tomorrow. In these, it is necessary to preserve the water of the lakes and pay attention to their natural sources.
According to the research, recent drought events in different parts of the world including South India have also contributed to the declining storage of lakes and reservoirs. According to the researchers, about a quarter of the world’s population i.e. 200 million people are living in such basins where the lakes are shrinking. In such a situation, issues like human consumption, climate change and the silt accumulated in them need immediate attention.

My Mother Is A Walking Miracle!

The Mother is the first teacher of the child. The message she gives that child, that child gives to the world – Malcolm X
Mother is the noblest creation of God. Mothers love is unconditional. Mothers Day is a celebration honoring the mother of the family or individual as well as motherhood. It is celebrated commonly in the month of May. Mother is capable of forgiving any wrong doing. Mother is the most important woman in one’s life. A mother sacrifices her happiness, for her child. No one else can care for their kids the way a Mother does. Mother is the first educator of the child. She guides the child in infancy stage how to eat, drink and some motor activities. A mother plays a significant role as a child’s first teacher and her teachings will guide you throughout your journey of life. Every child learns from their mother. When you are a kid you look at her and try to impersonate her, learn to speak, act and respond like her. I remember my childhood days when I was school going child, my mother though not literate used to tell me that (𝘈𝘭𝘪𝘮 𝘤𝘩𝘶 𝘨𝘢𝘢𝘴𝘩) and still those loving words struck my mind every day. A mother nourishes her child in the womb for nine months, and during this troublesome period she comes across many hardships like back pain, vomiting, nausea, sleeplessness, joint pains etc during day and night. The Holy Quran says about Mother: 𝘛𝘩𝘦 𝘗𝘳𝘰𝘱𝘩𝘦𝘵 𝘔𝘰𝘩𝘢𝘮𝘮𝘦𝘥 (𝘚.𝘈.𝘞) 𝘴𝘢𝘪𝘥, “𝘠𝘰𝘶𝘳 𝘏𝘦𝘢𝘷𝘦𝘯 𝘭𝘪𝘦𝘴 𝘶𝘯𝘥𝘦𝘳 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘧𝘦𝘦𝘵 𝘰𝘧 𝘺𝘰𝘶𝘳 𝘮𝘰𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘳.”
𝘈 𝘮𝘢𝘯 𝘤𝘢𝘮𝘦 𝘵𝘰 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘗𝘳𝘰𝘱𝘩𝘦𝘵 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘴𝘢𝘪𝘥 ‘𝘖 𝘔𝘦𝘴𝘴𝘦𝘯𝘨𝘦𝘳 𝘰𝘧 𝘎𝘰𝘥!  𝘸𝘩𝘰 𝘢𝘮𝘰𝘯𝘨 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘱𝘦𝘰𝘱𝘭𝘦 𝘪𝘴 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘮𝘰𝘴𝘵 𝘸𝘰𝘳𝘵𝘩𝘺 𝘰𝘧 𝘨𝘰𝘰𝘥 𝘤𝘰𝘮𝘱𝘢𝘯𝘪𝘰𝘯𝘴𝘩𝘪𝘱?  𝘛𝘩𝘦 𝘗𝘳𝘰𝘱𝘩𝘦𝘵 𝘴𝘢𝘪𝘥 𝘠𝘰𝘶𝘳 𝘮𝘰𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘳 .𝘛𝘩𝘦 𝘮𝘢𝘯  𝘴𝘢𝘪𝘥 𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘯 𝘸𝘩𝘰?  𝘛𝘩𝘦 𝘱𝘦𝘰𝘱𝘩𝘦𝘵 𝘴𝘢𝘪𝘥 𝘛𝘩𝘦𝘯 𝘺𝘰𝘶𝘳 𝘮𝘰𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘳 . 𝘛𝘩𝘦 𝘮𝘢𝘯 𝘢𝘴𝘬𝘦𝘥 𝘢𝘨𝘢𝘪𝘯 𝘛𝘩𝘦𝘯 𝘸𝘩𝘰? 𝘛𝘩𝘦 𝘱𝘳𝘰𝘱𝘩𝘦𝘵 𝘴𝘢𝘪𝘥 𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘯 𝘺𝘰𝘶𝘳 𝘍𝘢𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘳 (𝘚𝘢𝘩𝘪 𝘉𝘶𝘬a𝘩𝘳𝘪)
Mother nurtures the child. It gives the kid an optimal foundation for life. A foundation that not only builds trust and willingness to learn but also gives the child a healthy sense of self awareness and consideration for others. Mother is the first educator of the child. Mothers are the key teachers of all moral values and attitudes that the child will later display. Mothers can establish Kindness, courage, honesty and self-discipline, perseverance, compassion, and many more values. These moral values also lay the groundwork for the child to understand the difference between right and wrong and to contribute positively to society. Mothers can play an important role in the holistic development of a child. Children learn to understand and express their emotions through mothers. Children learn to understand and express their emotions through mother’s. They also learn the basics from mother’s. When they are infants how their mother’s handle their own emotions. So when mother’s teach the child to express emotions in different ways as and when to smile , when to say no, when to show the gesture, how to respond with others. It encourages the growth of an emotionally healthy and morally sensitive child. Mother’s love has no substitute. The mother not only gave life to the child but also gave light to the lamp of the soul. The education doesn’t begin when the child goes off to kindergarten. It begins at home with mother’s.
Mother’s can play a huge role in their children’s lives caring for them, loving them and much more. Good mother’s provide food, shelter and love. Allow room for her children to make mistakes and learn from them. The child learning process starts from the womb of the mother. We all know that during pregnancy mothers are told to read good books like the Holy Quran, Magazine etc.Mothers love for her child certainly can’t be compared with anything. Her level of forgiveness is unmatchable. A mother is capable of forgiving any wrong doing. Islam gave the highest importance to Mother. No one claims to be successful unless and until his or her mother is happy and satisfied over the actions of his son Or daughter. A mother sacrifices her happiness for her child. A mother carries a lot of hardships in shaping the career of a child. Mothers are highly responsible women. They certainly play an important role in the upbringing of a child. Mothers play an important role in determining a child’s attitude. Whether a child will be good or evil in the future depends upon the mother. The future of a society in a large way is the result of Mother’s teaching. Mothers share a deep connection with their children. Mothers can understand the infant without communication. This certainly develops the strong connection between the child and the mother. Mothers have the big heart to keep the secrets of his son.
Mothers are a precious gift from God. Without mother’s life would be dark and gloomy. Therefore it is our duty to help and support our mother’s. Mother’s heart is made up of gold. We must give our helping hand to our mother’s in the domestic work. They feel it more joyful when their son is supporting their daily work. If we try to keep our mothers happy and cheerful then we must do the work which is acknowledged by the mother. Recently I have seen a picture of a mother who is waiting for her son holding the bag in her lap outside the examination center for the entire day without eating anything, this determines the love and affection of the mother. Mother is an ultimate source of happiness for a child. To find a Mother who does not love is probably an impossible task. A mother becomes the best teacher who improves a child’s development including physical, perspective, Communication, cognitive and critical thinking and independence. Nobody in the world will love you as much as your mother does. Mothers offer unconditional and self-love care and support. You feel the mother’s love when you are sad, and feel like failure in life, even when you don’t have any one, then you find your mother besides. Mothers help their child in facing challenges and issues in their life. When you are going to school, college or office she supports you. Mother is the only person who wants to see their children happy no matter how they treat her in return. Mothers always teach their children to live happy lives and contribute to society. She also moulds the child’s personality and inculcates them the sense of truth, honesty and sincerity. When you feel hopeless, mothers  are the only ones who make way towards success. Her cheerful attitude will help you to overcome any hardship in your life. Mothers always encourage their children to work hard, have a positive attitude, help to learn the bonding culture etc so that every child grows up to be a better person in the society.Mothers can teach children how to trust and be trustworthy. Once this is understood by the child she will be confident and emotionally secure. Be around your children when they need you. Don’t let your child live alone; he may get involved in bad company. Your behavior towards your child has a lasting impact on her development  not only when she is a child . but after she grows well. The place of a mother is irreplaceable in a child’s life and her contribution is immeasurable. It takes minimal effort to make my mother proud of me because she doesn’t ask much for me other than growing up as a good human being. Even when my mother is in a lot of pain she doesn’t let anyone in the family know so quickly about it. Let me also share an important message that a mother inculcates to her child regarding truthfulness that “When Sheikh Adul Qadir Jeelani went out for the search and propagation of Knowledge his mother has few words to tell to her Son, If you ever come across anyone Don’t tell a Lie, The Shaikh remember the advice of his mother and same thing happened in the way that a group of gangsters approached him and asked him and frisked but didn’t find anything, later the Shaikh told to them that My Mother has kept some money for me which is stitched inside my garment, they searched again and find some money. They (Gangsters) in voice told the Shaik why did you told us the truth about the money, he replied that my mother told me that Come what may don’t tell lie, Later all these gangsters were impressed by the response of Shaik and then quit the path of gangsters and all become great in the future, this is teachings of Mother, which is truly unimaginable.”Mothers gave hope if it weren’t for mothers this world would be pretty hopeless. It is a fact that life is filled with varied experiences and some of them are not so good. A child faces these situations right from the start, but it is the mother who with her love, care and comfort assures that in the end good always prevails. Through her eyes and confidence a child can always see the light on the other side of the tunnel. Whether facing exams, competitions or the hardships of life, children always seek guidance and support from their mother first.
Make your mother feel special and express gratitude for what she is doing for you.
