We in Kashmir highlight thousands of stories of unsung heroes in different sector for their outstanding contribution and continues efforts towards nation building. Do we realise this that behand all this contribution there is huge sacrifice of Indian army forces in providing safety and security to the people contribution towards nation in nation building.

A soldier is not just sacrificing their life but also their family, which is not the case in a normal job. They don’t play with pens but with bullets and bombs. They have families too, they have children too, they have lives too, and they want to enjoy life as well. Being human, they instinctively want to enjoy family, friends, parties, and outings but cannot due to their busy job. This is the sacrifice, and this sacrifice cannot be rewarded with money but with dedication, devotion, and determination.

Soldiers’ sacrifice in Kashmir is unforgettable because they saved Kashmir at a time when innocent Kashmiris were burning under the fire of Kabali raiders from Pakistan. It was Kashmiri leaders who invited the Indian Army to Kashmir to save it from the terrorism of these raiders. The Army has been sacrificing from 1947 till date, not only sacrificing precious lives but also investing time and energy to save youth from radicalization, engage them in positive development, and protect them from terrorism. The greatest sacrifice is when you live and die for others. Historically, Kashmir has been revamped due to the sacrifice of the Indian Army along with other security forces. We must keep Kashmir fenced with the Indian Army continuously due to the ongoing infiltration by Pakistani terrorists; otherwise, being a critical state, it will turn into a bombshell for India.

Their sacrifices are an endowment. They showed tremendous discipline during hardcore terror operations, searches, and by keeping themselves in constant threat and risk, because initially they knew no one and faced difficult times. Now, they are the heroes of development, peace, and prosperity. They are the heroes of Naya Kashmir.

The sacrifices in response to the challenges in Kashmir were great. During the initial terrorism, a soldier changed his shoes after months of facing tough weather and people. They made the sacrifice of emotional patience and made our nation proud. They never intervened in civil matters; they won the confidence of the Kashmiri people by engaging them in different dialogues. They redeveloped the culture, tradition, and ethos of Kashmir. They provided opportunities in sports, education, and border tourism. Their support during every disaster was remarkable in Kashmiri history.

In Kashmir, the Indian soldiers have become part of the community, embraced as Kashmiris themselves. The people of Kashmir hold immense love and respect for these brave soldiers who have stood by them through the toughest times.

Today, many of the region’s youth have joined the military, inspired by the dedication and sacrifice of these defenders. When we talk about Naya Kashmir, peace, and development in the region, we must remember that all these positive changes are deeply rooted in the sacrifices made by the Indian Army. Their efforts have brought stability, hope, and a renewed sense of life to the people. It is because of their unwavering commitment that the people of Kashmir can now dream of a brighter future. The soldiers’ sacrifices have not only secured the borders but have also helped rejuvenate the lives of many, turning a once troubled region into a place of growth and opportunity. The progress in infrastructure, education, and tourism stands as a lasting tribute to the Indian Army’s role in shaping a peaceful and prosperous Kashmir.
