Opinion | Winter Break- Make it more jubilant

As soon as winter break is announced, jubliance reverberates from every corner as it offer respite interms of less work and more playtime for children.As I observed since ages a ray of pleasure is depicted upon every section as and when the particular announcement is made.

Winter break is the time for students to relax and unwind from constant pressure stress of school. It is rather a valuable time for students to prepare and complete the assigned work candidly with parents.Do not ever pressurize them during peculiar time. Everyone must deal with them in such a way as they shouldn’t feel it burden– but feel it a sort of pleasuring time. Through out the year students often feel swamped by work and unable to go out. Don’t even try to complete their assigned tasks in couple of weeks, but smoothly complete during the entire break. It has been scientifically observed that break can help the students focus themselves more, and even proven to increase productivity and boosting mental health as well.

Winter break is crucial as it provides a lot of opportunity to children to have fun besides completing their school assignment. With this break they love to play with snow, walk in snow, and making shapes of snow.As a parent if you are seeking to maximize the benefits associated with the break from school maintain a set of schedule full with entertaining-that child embraces it a pleasuring task.

As a parent, while dealing with my own kids besides being a teacher, they love to indulge in activity based learning which I suggest is judicious usage of time during the break. The activity based learning is an ideal time to encourage creativity. You may have your child paint pictures, sketches etc, or colour when it is too cold to spend a lot of time outdoor, have them help you pick items from your home that are no longer in use to donate, have them build snow creatures in front of the lawn or simply get them involved in a creative hobby–such as paint by numbers, sketching, shapes and squares etc.

   Here in rural areas we try to make castles in the air, by putting everything we know in mind of children without knowing it’s drawbacks. The sole aim of the break is not like this. Children should be allowed not restricted which they feel in a caged atmosphere. They must feel that they are engage in cheerful manner, it helps them to develop a strong sense of self-discipline and also ensures optimal physiological and psychological health.

As the new year 2024 shadowed upon us lets every parent, allocate at least one hour every day to teach your children good manners, ethics, morality, offering helping hands to needy, imbibe them with history, geography,current affairs, science and economics, which will boost their morale to face the challenges. Parents must creat peaceful atmosphere so that he/she can disseminate amicably fruitful lessons to their kids during the break. The jubliance is true sort of motivation that children can spend themselves more time on acquiring knowledge and information. Grow them in smooth and joyous scenario.Give them  ideas to keep them busy and productive until school reopens. Happy New YearYear 2024.
